Bev Young

Bev spent fifteen years building and leading learning and development inside a national organization before founding Consult BY Design. When that chapter closed, she decided the next one would be hers: taking the programs, systems, and hard-won lessons of running an internal L&D department and bringing them directly to organizations that need them. A lifelong educator, Bev has built a career spanning public education, colleges, and trade unions. Her passion for learning has remained constant, and she still loves being in the room and watching people grow.

Throughout her career, Bev has led national learning initiatives, workforce development programs, leadership training, curriculum modernization projects, apprenticeship-related learning systems, and organizational change efforts across Canada. Her experience spans learning strategy, instructional design, facilitation, technology adoption, onboarding, leadership development, and employee capability building.

Having led large-scale learning operations and collaborated with senior leaders across multiple sectors, Bev brings both strategic insight and practical experience to every engagement. She is equally comfortable facilitating executive discussions, developing learning strategies, designing eLearning and curriculum, coaching leaders, and delivering engaging learning experiences.
